BUSINESS MENTORSHIP

Kim has always sought to maintain sustainability with or without public funding and so business planning, modelling and fundraising is a large part of her role. Since RoguePlay started, Kim has established The West Midlands Circus & Creation Centre (WMCC) in

Birmingham, supporting Circus & Physical Theatre coming in an out of the region. The Centre provides training and creation space for artists, classes for the community and rehearsal space for company work. RoguePlay has also created TILT Festival, Birmingham’s first aerial & physical theatre festival, of which West Midlands Circus Centre is the hub.

From the Creation space Kim mentors emerging artists. She is passionate and committed to the development of new circus theatre work and new artists and often mentors emerging companies in their initial development stages or advises on planning, development and fundraising. Do get in touch if you feel Kim might be able to help you.

YOUNG PEOPLE

Kim has extensive experience working in education environments with young people and adults, both in formal education and community organisations. Kim is Arts Awards trained to deliver, Discover, Explore, Bronze and Silver Level Awards, has lectured in University and college environments, as well as trained in Level 2 British Sign Language.

A mother of two, Kim has undertaken research into Risky Play with babies and young children funded by Arts Council England. She strongly believes in giving young people the same professional experience and opportunities as adults and believes creativity is at the heart of developing a young pro-active mind. She is happy to discuss your work with young people and how RoguePlay might be able to help.
