An intensive 8-week course for aspiring and emerging playwrights
Exploring form, structure, narrative, characterisation, tension and dramatic action, this course will help find your style and give you the tools you need to write for the professional stage, as well as provide a comprehensive guide to England's Literary Managers.
Previous Playwright's have gone on to submit full length plays for awards such as the Bruntwood Prize, and most recently Mandy Ross will have three short plays recorded for radio as well as performance at Birmingham's very own Project Pigeon Loft in April 2013.
The course is led by writer and director Kim Charnock and runs for 8 weeks every Tuesday evening and culminates in a reheased reading of work for the public and invited venues. The rehearsed reading allows audiences and actors to give feedback on the work and provides and invaluable platform for hearing it read aloud in front of an audience.
