RoguePlay's Artistic Director
Kim is an experienced Circus and Physical Theatre Director and Performer, with a strong background in aerial and physical theatre performance and touring.
Kim travels across the UK teaching masterclasses and workshops in aerial technique (silks, rope and trapeze) and aerial theatre. She is always keen to make new relationships with circus schools and training centres so please do get in touch.
Kim has a passion for the creation of innovative new work, particularly experimenting with the combination of aerial movement and text and is inspired by Companies such as Ockham’s Razor, Frantic Assembly and Kneehigh Theatre. She has received commissions for creating and directing new physical theatre works as well as having extensive experience working in education environments with young people and adults.
Kim has established The West Midlands Creation Centre, supporting Circus & Physical Theatre coming in an out of the region, as well as running a series of classes from the space in aerial and ground based circus and theatre for young people. Since starting the Company with the Associate Director; Lorna Meehan, RoguePlay has grown into an international touring company as well as sticking to its roots and working within the local community.
Kim also mentors emerging artists and start-up creative companies and is passionate and committed to the development of new work and new artists.
