Based on a true story, CRASH follows the build up to a fatal car accident involving a 14 year old Brazilian girl in Moseley, Birmingham, February 2009. This young girl was a good friend of RoguePlay's and she had previously undertaken work experience with the Company. The accident occured as a result of speeding and dangerous driving, and this particular bend in Moseley has been witness to a number of similiar accidents. As a result of the accident a speed camera was erected around the site, but with road traffic incidencies happening so frequently and Road Safety Week not long gone, RoguePlay feel that this piece of Theatre in Education workdealing with the issues of road safety has never been more poignant.
We took the work to various schools in November and December 2011 and we would like to expand the tour to reach more young people. In order to do that we are raising money to put the piece back into rehearsal and production and offer to schools at minimal cost. BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!
